Any oversight at this stage can have disastrous long-term consequences. During a pre-slab base inspection, we focus on the following key elements:

• Proper placement of bored piers or screw piles

• Correct compaction of the crushed rock base

• Completion of all underground electrical services without any damage

• Completion of stormwater plumbing services, ensuring no damage

• Sewage pipes positioned correctly, avoiding any raised above base height

• Edge beams deepened and cut in accordance with engineering specifications

• Pipes passing through edge beams properly lagged with insulation
