PRE SLAB (BASE)
Detailed pre-slab inspections to ensure a strong and compliant foundation from the start.

WHAT IS A PRE SLAB (BASE) INSPECTION?
The foundation of the slab is the most critical phase of the construction process. It forms the bedrock of the entire structure, supporting the full weight of the home and ensuring the integrity required for the 25-year structural guarantee.
Any oversight at this stage can have disastrous long-term consequences. During a pre-slab base inspection, we focus on the following key elements:
-
Proper placement of bored piers or screw piles
-
Correct compaction of the crushed rock base
-
Completion of all underground electrical services without any damage
-
Completion of stormwater plumbing services, ensuring no damage
-
Sewage pipes positioned correctly, avoiding any raised above base height
-
Edge beams deepened and cut in accordance with engineering specifications
-
Pipes passing through edge beams properly lagged with insulation
A thorough inspection at this stage is essential to ensure that all foundational work meets the required standards, setting the stage for a structurally sound and durable home.
